The Member representing Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, has felicitated with the Muslim faithful as they celebrate the 2023 Eid-El Kabir, calling on them to show love to one another, imbibe peace in line with the teachings of the Holy Prophet, as they celebrate.

In his message, the National Assembly Member, who made this known on Wednesday at his country home, urged all Muslim faithful not to negate the sacredness of the celebration and its purpose to humanity.

According to Rt. Hon. Etteh, “As our Muslim brothers celebrate in line with the significance of today, I sincerely appeal to them to show love, because if there is love there would be peace and unity. Progress and development will thrive in the atmosphere of peace and unity.”

“As we carry out this revered and solemn festival, I believe its teachings can help our nation to make progress on all fronts if we also uphold its impeccable virtues of sacrifice, patience, generosity, and love for all,” he maintained.

While urging Nigerians to always remember our shared heritage, bond of nationhood and unity, Rt. Hon. Etteh commended President Bola Tinubu and Governor Umo Eno for the love, unity and progress so far made and enjoyed in the nation and state.
