The Member representing Eket/ONNA/Esit-Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, is set to launch a 12-day comprehensive free medical and surgical outreach for residents of his constituency.
Hon. Etteh, who made this known on Saturday in Upenekang, said the outreach, aimed at providing essential healthcare services to the local population, will be held at various hospitals across the four Local Government Areas within the federal constituency.
According to him, “the outreach will kick off at the Cottage Hospital in Upenekang, Ibeno Local Government Area, from September 9 to 11, 2024. Following this, the medical team will move to the Cottage Hospital in Ekpene Obo, Esit Eket Local Government Area, from September 13 to 15, 2024. The General Hospital in Awa-Iman, ONNA Local Government Area, will host the program from September 18 to 20, 2024. The final phase of the outreach will take place at the Immanuel General Hospital in Eket, Eket Local Government Area, from September 23 to 25, 2024. The outreach will run daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.”
“Residents are encouraged to take full advantage of the wide range of medical services available during the outreach. These include gynecological, eye, and general surgeries, provision of reading glasses, medical lab tests, medical consultations and treatment, as well as health sensitization and counseling,” he maintained.
Hon. Etteh, known for his dedication and commitment to the overall growth and development of his constituents, emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare, particularly for those in rural areas, saying “This outreach is part of our ongoing commitment to improving the health and quality of life of our people. I urge all residents to attend and benefit from the services being offered.”
