Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, the representative of the Eket/ONNA/Esit-Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency, actively participated in the oversight function conducted by the House Committee on Public Accounts, chaired by Hon. Bamidele Salam.

The federal lawmaker hinted that the oversight exercise focused on reviewing the activities of the Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Mrs. Oluwatoyin Madein, and other key stakeholders in the nation’s financial management system.

He said the session, which took place in Abuja, was part of the Committee’s constitutional mandate to ensure transparency and accountability in public finances.

According to Hon. Etteh, who is committed to ensuring fiscal responsibility and prudent management of national resources, the Committee examined budget implementation, audit queries, and compliance with financial regulations by relevant agencies.

Hon. Etteh, deputy Chairman of the House Committee on University Education, further emphasized the importance of oversight in strengthening public confidence in governance and reiterated his dedication to advocating for financial integrity on behalf of his constituency and the nation.
