Member representing Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, has extended heartfelt congratulations Mr. John Obot, who made the Guinness World Records in the longest marathon read aloud attempt of 145Hours.

 

John Obot made the milestone feat on Monday at the City View Hall of the Watbridge Hotels and Suites, Uyo, against the previous world record holder, Rsybai Isakov, who read aloud for 124Hours.

 

Hon. Etteh, in a felicitation message to Mr. Obot, said “I am absolutely thrilled to extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your remarkable achievement of breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest individual hours spent in reading. Your dedication, determination, and passion for reading have not only brought you personal success but have also made the entire Akwa Ibom State incredibly proud.”

 

The lawmaker said “to surpass the previous record of 124 hours and read for an astonishing 145 hours is an extraordinary feat. Your unwavering commitment to expanding your knowledge and immersing yourself in the world of literature is truly inspiring. Your achievement serves as a shining example to others, highlighting the power of perseverance and the limitless possibilities that can be achieved through a love for learning.”

 

“Your accomplishment not only brings honor to yourself but also shines a positive light on Akwa Ibom State. It showcases the talent, resilience, and intellectual prowess that exist within our community. Your dedication to reading has not only enriched your own life but has also inspired countless others to embrace the joy of reading and the pursuit of knowledge,”” he stressed.

 

He added that the exceptional achievement of Mr. Obot will forever be etched in the annals of history, maintaining that his accomplishment will serve as a source of inspiration for generations to come.
