… Reassures the People of Effective Representation, Democratic Dividends

 

Wednesday, 27th December will remain memorable for the people of Esit Eket and Ibeno Local Government Areas as the Member representing Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, left indelible imprints in their lives during the Christmas celebration.

 

Earlier in the day, Hon. Etteh visited Esit Eket stakeholders at the residence of the Chairman of Eket Senatorial PDP Elders Forum, Elder Benji Udobia, where he presented his scorecard to the people and thanked them for the opportunity given him to represent them at the National Assembly.

 

He assured them of sterling democratic dividends through the 2024 Budget, which he said he has made great inputs that will affects the people positively, maintaining that their continuous support will enable him achieve his visions for the people better.

 

In his remarks, the Member representing Esit Eket/Ibeno State Constituency, Engr Udobia Friday who spoke glowingly about the National Assemblyman also made cash donation in support of Hon. Etteh’s magnanimity to the people of Esit Eket.

 

Also, the Transition Committee Chairman of Esit Eket, Hon. Iniobong Robson, also commended the achievements of Hon. Etteh in the last six months, stressing that “Gratitude is a virtue anyone can possess but it is rare in our society. The people of Esit Eket are very appreciative of this gesture. Thank you for remembering us.”

 

On his part, the Chairman of Eket Senatorial PDP Elders Forum, Elder Benji Udobia, appreciated Hon. Etteh for remembering the people of Esit Eket at Christmas.

 

Elder Udobia further supported Hon. Etteh’s kind gestures by supporting him with cash donation for the people.

The Chapter Chairman of PDP in Esit Eket, Elder Eddy Etangkanga, lauded the Federal Lawmaker for his performance in the last six months and added that the people of the area are not in doubt of his ability to perform.

 

In Ibeno, the tone was similar as speakers took their turn to speak in awe of the National Assemblyman.

 

In his remarks, the Transition Committee Chairman of Ibeno, Elder Emma Ibok, thanked Hon. Etteh for extending immeasurable democratic dividends and the love of Christmas to the people of Ibeno.

 

He also appreciated the people for the massive turnout despite short notice.

 

Others who spoke including a State Officer of PDP, Mrs. Grace Ekpe-Nko, and a Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Mary Ukoette, poured encomium on Hon. Etteh for his superlative performance within the period in review.

 

Recall that Saturday 24th December, Hon. Etteh, who is the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on University Education, had visited Eket and ONNA where he extended similar gesture and magnanimity to the people of the local government areas.
