The Member representing Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Okpolupm Etteh, has put modalities in place to commenced a free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)/Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration exercise for prospective candidates across the federal constituency.

The exercise, according to the Head of the Federal Constituency Liaison Office, Mr. Samuel Ukwat, is part of Rep. Etteh’s ongoing efforts to promote access to education and ease the financial burden on parents and guardians within the federal constituency.

Mr. Ukwat further said the free registration exercise is scheduled to run from January 23 to February 23, 2026, and will take place daily at the Federal Constituency Office, 79 RCC Road, Eket, between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

“Eligible applicants are required to present their National Identification Number (NIN), copies of O-Level results (one or two sittings), and a certificate of origin during the screening process. The programme is open strictly to candidates from Eket, ONNA, Esit Eket and Ibeno Local Government Areas,” he explained.

Mr. Ukwat added that Rep. Etteh’s educational intervention aligns with Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda and his commitment to human capital development and youth empowerment, noting that education remains a critical pathway to sustainable development.

While enjoining residents of Eket/ONNA/Esit-Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency to take advantage of the free JAMB registration exercise, Mr. Ukwat said Rep. Etteh has assured that he will continue to prioritize education-driven interventions as part of his legislative focus, particularly in support of young people aspiring to tertiary education.
