Profile of Rep. Okpolupm Ikpong Etteh
Rep. Okpolupm Ikpong Etteh, Honourable Member representing Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives and the immediate past Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Special Duties, was born on the September 19, 1970 to the royal family of Chief Ikpong Ikpong Etteh of Upenekang in Ibeno Local Government Area.
Hon. Okpolupm Ikpong Etteh, the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on University Education, and Chairman of the Ad-Hoc Committee on the Mismanagement of Oil Spills Clean-Up Funds in the Niger Delta, has successfully moved Motions and sponsored people-oriented Bills and provided many relief materials including flood-related palliatives to members of his community.
Before he was appointed into the State Executive Council as a Honourable Commissioner, he was Honorary Senior Special Adviser to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Special Duties. He also served the state as a lawmaker rising from an ordinary member and Committee Chairman in the Third Assembly to become the Chief Whip in the Fourth Assembly and later the House Leader in the Fifth Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly (2006 – 2015).

Okpolupm Ikpong Etteh holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from Nexford University, Washington DC; a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Marketing from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State, and an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Marketing from the School of Management and Technology, Aba, Abia State (now Temple Gate Polytechnic, Aba).
