The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on University Education, Rep. Okpolupm Etteh, has joined the people of Akwa Ibom State to commiserate with Governor Umo Eno during the memorial service in honour of his late wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Umo Eno, who passed on a year ago.
Rep. Etteh described the late First Lady as “a mother and role model”, noting that her virtues, humility, and contributions to the well-being of families across the state will remain indelible in the hearts of Akwa Ibom people.
He urged the Governor, his family, and indeed the state to take solace in the impactful life and enduring legacy she left behind.
The solemn service, held in Eket, was attended by eminent personalities from across the country, including the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio; the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma; the First Ladies of Lagos, Ogun, Enugu, and Imo States; the Deputy Governor of Kogi State; former Military Administrators of Akwa Ibom State; Members of the National Assembly; Members of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly; and the State Executive Council.
The gathering reflected on the life and times of the late First Lady, whose memory continues to inspire faith, compassion, and service to humanity.
